Muntaser Allaf has been appointed general manager of the recently opened Jeddah Marriott Hotel Madinah Road. The highly respected hospitality professional will head up the team with more than 26 years of experience in hotel operations, including strategic planning and leadership. Allaf began his career with the Detroit Marriott at the Renaissance Center in 1996, ahead of more than two decades spent progressing with a number of Marriott brands. His career journey took him from North America to the Middle East, where he enriched his skills through four openings in Kuwait and Saudi Arabia. Just a little over a year after Nevada mandated a shutdown of hotel-casino operations due to COVID-19, one longtime downtown property is gearing up to reopen its hotel rooms once again.  Caesars Entertainment announced that Circus Circus Reno will be resuming hotel operations at noon on April 8. The return of hotel accommodations will be accompanied by the reopening of several other amenities, including restaurants and retail. The move arrives just before the summer, which has traditionally been a busy season for hotel-casinos prior to the pandemic. The summer break has been especially important for Circus Circus, which focuses on family-friendly activities such as its Carnival Midway.
